The kids and I had a busy day yesterday afternoon. After we got home from running all our errands, we ran outside to look for worms, mow the grass, have a picnic and start a bonfire. We used the lathe that had been in our wall (aw shucks) and a bunch of recyclables, and the fire went sky high. It was slightly reminiscent of Pop-Pop's adventure with pitch wood, except this was outside. After the fire died down, we roasted marshmallows, finished up the lawn and jumped into the bath for a scrub down. As you can imagine, the kids were practically asleep by the time their sweet smelling heads hit the pillow.
