My Urban Farm Co-op organized a big buy of organic heirloom tomatoes from a small farm in Eastern Washington. I ordered 45lbs and after we all unloaded the truck and trailer, we set them all up on tables in a local church. We donated a few bucks to the church's coffers for the kind use of the space and we each made out with tons of nice looking tomatoes/peppers/eggplant/garlic, etc. and I made spaghetti sauce for the next 6 months that night. Canning extravaganza! Next up, my Romas will be turned into sundried tomatoes for pizza and pasta.
