I took the kidlets for a 36 hour weekend away at the Washington coast to give Mom and reprieve. Wyatt has been watching a lot of survival shows lately so he found some dead crabs with "lots of nutrients" in them, showed us how to find sidewinder snakes and how to dig holes in the side of sand dunes to sleep in overnight. Scarlett tolerated it all pretty well. We hit the sack around 10pm after watching Toy Story. Wyatt tried a 5:15 a.m. wake up call but was scolded back to sleep until 7:15. We've spent 3.5 hours in the motel pool and had a to-go chinese food picnic in the room; "the best meal I've ever had in my life", Wyatt said. He orders whisky too. I think he might be related to me.
