Orcas, round four or five?
We got lots of quality time with the Dehart boys and boy, do they all love each other! Wyatt and Scarlett were so excited to see their cousins and it was pretty obvious the adoration was mutual. It was the first time the trip was actually easy! I've been waiting (not very patiently) for it to be this fun and easy. We took a hike to the "stump" which is the highlight of Wyatt's trip, where the boys beat on an old rotten stump with sticks and hammers and saws. The next day all 4 kids and I had some lovely adventures to Mt. Constitution's watch tower where we scaled the stairs for an amazing view and pirate adventures, then down to Cascade lake where we launched hundred of pinecones into the lake. That afternoon, Jesica and I took the boys to the Orcas Exchange, and to a farm where we procured some FRESH milk (that tastes nothing like store bought milk!) and got to pet a week old lamb (AW!!!!). All told, SO much fun. And who knew the people of Orcas would be such elk meat fans?!

I sent the backstrap to my Mom's with Emmit on his overnight and they cooked it over the fire on some sort of skewer contraption that Emmit invented. It was devoured and they keep making my mouth water as they describe in detail how amazing it tasted. See where generosity gets you? That would be my generosity for sharing it!!! Loved having you here of course and always. Thanks for all the help.
